Lounge & Armchairs

Mid-century, traditional and modern armchairs restored with expert fabric work and frame care.

Armchairs are where upholstery craft really shows. Rolled arms, tufted backs, curved mid-century profiles — each style demands different techniques and fabric handling.

Paul works on club chairs, wingbacks, mid-century teak frames, occasional chairs and reading chairs. Inherited pieces with sentimental value, op-shop finds with great bones, designer chairs that deserve better fabric than what they came with.

Styles We Work On

  • Mid-century modern — teak and walnut frames with geometric fabrics
  • Traditional club and wingback chairs
  • Occasional and accent chairs
  • Reading chairs and fireside armchairs
  • Vintage and inherited heirloom pieces

What Makes Armchair Work Different

Arms, backs and seats often need separate fabric cuts with pattern alignment across all three. Springs in lounge chairs may need re-tying or replacement. Paul assesses all of this during the initial consultation — before quoting, not after.
